SOLDIERS?
HERE IS WHERE MY POLITICS ARE COMING FROM, I HAVE BEEN SILENT TOO LONG. SOLDIERS HAVE BEEN THE LAST STRAW.
SOLDIERS?
First you have to understand what a soldier is because they are what makes a strong military work and why the United States has never been defeated. A military is only as good as it's soldiers, if they cut and run there is no one left to defend us. A soldier is an extremely unique person, common looking on the outside, just like the general population, but peel away the outward appearance and there you will find the soldier - in the heart. The soldier is an entity that transcends gender, race, religion, sex, politics and everything that makes us different, no matter what military branch they serve in they are the same in heart.
A soldier has only one duty and that is to carry out his commanding officer's orders to death, a truly unique individual, and an incredibly precious resource.
Soldiers do not choose their wars, they are chosen for them, by those that send them out to do their duty. Those that choose the wars do not see the value of the soldiers under them, they think of them only as collateral, an expendable commodity like vehicles, ships, planes and , oh yes, civilians. We will all die before the war lords are in jeopardy, all the collateral goes first to save them.
I wouldn't attempt to try and dissuade soldiers from doing what they do best. Two World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and many smaller though just as deadly military actions, all in recent history and all engaged in legitimately. The cause may have been questionable but that meant nothing to our soldiers who gave all they had in defense of our freedom, without question, as they had been told to do, and I respectfully thank them for their sacrifice.
Today we are engaged in a war that was not sanctioned by the United Nations, or even by Congress, as it should have been before the first shot was fired. A war that is illegal according to the rules of Geneva Convention and is held such by the World Court, which we don't answer to since we now have dropped our support of it. This was an act of pure aggression, the first in the history of our nation, based on no sound reason at all except to allow the President an opportunity to play soldier. The lies are catching up with the big shots in Washington and almost daily we find new instances of their deceit and play acting. All the staged acts such as the tanks pulling down Saddam's statue and even the alleged capture of Saddam himself, they gave him too many drugs before they put him in that hole and it was blatantly obvious in all the news footage, but thank you to the small band of now rich Kurds for turning him over to us. Let's not forget the letter writing campaign where the exact same letter from our embattled troops was mailed to newspapers around the nation showing their support for the war. Too bad they messed up and sent two to the Washington Olympian, word for word identical letters with different signatures which prompted the press to pool their resources and discover thousands of the same letter with different signatures around the country, yet the soldiers had no idea that they were being duped. The media has finally discovered the part they played in helping the war along by reporting stories, "facts" and figures given to them by the government in press releases, that aren't true.
I am not a soldier, I don't have the heart to be one but as a civilian it is my duty, as it is the duty of all civilians to insure that our precious soldiers are not needlessly wasted to feed the egos of their commanding officers, particularly the Commander-in-Chief. Only a traitor would send our soldiers to die in a war without a just cause, and it is up to each and every American to stand up and be counted, the traitors must go. Over 3000 of our valiant soldiers have given the ultimate sacrifice so far and thousands more are living each second not knowing if it will be their last. Each one a hero in the grave or still standing, willfully giving their lives fighting for our freedom.
It has been asked many times by the media if there is a "hit squad" assigned to target the objects of our wars but time and again the same answer comes back "We are not assassins!" Maybe we should be, then our soldiers can stay safe at home and defend us here and the women and children we attack could survive without loosing their homes, possessions and lives, but collateral is expendable. To assassinate our enemy would make the Washington warlords targets also so the world warmongers have agreed to fight wars by destroying collateral and the country with the least collateral left loses. You, your brother, sister, Mom, Dad grand parents and friends are all first then comes the Washington warlords, listen to me fellow collateral, we must vote carefully and completely this election and be prepared to stand up against the fraud perpetrated in the past elections. Save our precious soldiers to defend US, that is what they do best.
