The Indian Walk is one of several paths leading around the Island. All are lined with plants, flowers and shrubs and attract many types of birds. No matter where you walk the island is alive with bird songs. Originally there was very little soil on the island and the granite bedrock was prevalent on the landscape, so many tons of topsoil were imported from neighboring farms to backfill the terraces and gardens. Small game can be found all the time in the wooded areas and it all makes one feel so close with nature.
